Which New Parent Olympic Event Would You Totally Dominate In?

Crying LOL.

Postpartum is a bitch, and when my somewhat colicky baby decides to cry all night, I cry from sheer exhaustion.

We are on night number 4 of this now.

You have my sympathy.

My little one had SEVERE colic up until 6 months. Now bub is almost 9 months and is very hotheaded :crazy_face:. It gets better! Also, happy cake day!

I felt hamstrung by colic with my 3-year-old, but it gets better! The difference between months 3 and 4 was significant.

@Val
I can’t wait for it to get better. He’s only 5 weeks old, so we haven’t even hit the peak yet.

It is TOUGH! But I became a better parent by the 9-10 week mark, and by then I almost didn’t need my mom when she came to help.

Before I gave up milk & soy, that was a ROUGH time.

Taking shots to my orbital bones from the back of my son’s head.

My son is like a fighting giraffe! He swung his head into my eye a few weeks ago and burst a blood vessel IN MY EYE! I looked mental for weeks.

Getting my baby to poop in just a few minutes when holding her :joy:.

I don’t mean to brag but I can do a mean one-handed diaper change. Even now with my two-year-old.

This is amazing!

Being able to do everything with one hand!

The nap walk. Since baby only naps in the carrier, and the wearer MUST be moving, I do this four times a day for up to two hours each session. I really should track my steps; this probably rivals my average workday in nursing for distance walked!

@Sky
Need to start tracking my steps, my daughter sleeps in the carrier or I have to perfectly mimic it with my arms.

How many bags of groceries can you load in one arm? You must have a crying 15 lb baby in the other.

No lights, no wake, rapid diaper changes.

Though I’m considering infrared goggles for the next one.

Why do people turn on the lights?

Hanging on by a thread. Proud parent of a 17-month-old and an almost 7-week-old :pregnant_woman:.

Functioning with sleep deprivation.

The bouncing marathon. I bounce for as long as it takes!
