I’m just curious because I’ve heard babies sit up at 3 months. Mine is 3.5 months, and I’m getting impatient. I’m not worried and know every baby is different, but I’m interested in other babies’ experiences. Thanks!

Hallo everyone, newborn babies usually start smiling within the first few weeks of life, which may begin as early as 6 to 8 weeks. However, the babies true laughter usually begins to emerge around 3 to 4 months of age. At this stage, babies are more responsive to stimuli and interactions, which can lead to genuine laughter in response to playful and amusing situations.
Giggles at 8 weeks, full belly laughing at 12-13 weeks.
Do you have any tips for engaging with a baby to encourage those early smiles and laughs?
