10 months in and still use it daily… And she is on her sixth tooth so … Yeah xD…
We had to use them until almost two, but we had a late teether.
My first wore a cotton bib from about 4 months when she popped her first tooth till about 1 year old. My current kid, who is 1, has never had to wear a bib. First kid drooled buckets worth of drool, and this kid barely drools.
Lol this made me laugh.
But, around 8.5 months / 9 months. My baby actually developed a slight rash under her chin because of constant drooling and wiping so we switched to bibs all day lol. Easier to go through 3/4 bibs a day than 3/4 outfits and a risk of another rash developing.
@Mal
Oops I misread your post and thought you asked when did they start.
Sorry I’m tired lollll. Baby is 10 months and we’re still going strong with bibs.
My baby suddenly stopped being as drooly around eight or nine months? But she’s getting like four new upper teeth all at once right now so it seems like she ought to be drooling just as much as before. She’s ten months now so I feel like the drool could still return at any moment lol.
@Wynn
Bibs Part 2: Return of the Drool!
Briefly at 10 months. Cutting 4 more teeth at 11 months so back at it lol.
Around a year, though we still use them as needed when our 16 mo has new teeth coming in.
Between 6-11 months because of teething and drool. Babe is 14 months now and we don’t use them. I wouldn’t be surprised if we use them again during major teething milestones.
Still using them at 1 year old.
My daughter hasn’t worn bibs for quite a while (she’s 13 months now, I think around 7 months she wasn’t really wearing bibs as she didn’t drool much).
Ours is barely about to be 2 months and she’s so drooly .
Mine has been drooly since around 3 months. Almost 7 months now and we keep a spit rag around every room just like she was a newborn still she’s actually developed a rash/dry skin around her chin and hands since she’s constantly chewing on something and drooling. I’ve tried a little aquaphor at night but it gets rubbed off. I can’t keep her hands out of her mouth so idk what to do honestly.
My daughter didn’t get a tooth until she was a year old but we stopped rocking the bibs when she hit 7 months. As usual I guess all babies are different .
We put them away at 22 mo but he still doesn’t have the last set of molars at 26 mo so we’ll see if we need to get them out again.
He’s 15 months and I don’t use the bib daily anymore. We do put one on him for daycare and attach his soothie to it. But we’re taking that away soon. He’s got molars coming now and is more drooly but I haven’t put bibs on him much. It was probably around a year that we stopped with bibs at home. He always spit up formula and that was another reason for the bib. We weaned him off just before his first birthday because he was doing so good with solids.
We still use them sometimes at 18 months depending on teething (and runny noses).
My 18-month-old goes through multiple bibs a day! Some kiddos are just drooly. It should slow by age 2 or 3 according to our pediatrician.
