When did cotton bibs stop being a staple of baby’s outfit?

Randomly wondering when they stop being “drooly”. Ours is 9 months and I’m dabbing her dry pretty constantly lol.

We’re at 7 months and it’s been drool city since 3 months so I don’t have a for sure answer but I assume it slows down once the teeth are in, maybe?

All of her teeth being in was definitely when it got better for us.

Same here! My 7-month-old has been a drool machine since he was 3 months old. Still no teeth :laughing:.

So you’re telling me that my drool box 4-month-old is still gonna be a drool box at 7 months :scream::scream:.

When those front teeth finish coming in and baby learns to swallow the drool instead of let it all out.

So… between 10 and 13 months.

Ours never really drooled so could not understand the point of them.

Same! She had a brief phase when she was like 4 months? But we don’t usually put bibs on her and she’s fine.

Same with our kids!! I never even took them out for our second.

Yup mine just drooled occasionally and we use a tissue and that’s it.

At 2.5 I recently got his baby bibs out again. I guess it’s molars. There was a phase around 2 when he was really drooly too. So put them away but don’t get rid of them. Ha!

My niece was still dribbling at 3, until the pediatrician told us that she had to be told to swallow her saliva. We would remind her until she got the hang of it.

@Axel
That’s so interesting!

@Axel
Idk why but this is so cute, your sweet little niece!

This. My girl is 15 months and still drools due to her teethers. But she knows how to wipe her own face with her own rags. (She’s obsessed with cleaning like momma so she has her own basket of rags.) :joy: We never really used bibs because she HATES them. She ripped them off. She wasn’t a swaddler either.

I read something yesterday that said around 15 months. We are at month 14 and she’s been so drooly since month 5. I can’t wait.

We are at 16 months and drooling again but not as bad. She’s getting incisors now I think. Are those the 3rd teeth? Or eye teeth idk lol. The ones before the molars.

Edit: the canines.

My baby never drooled but she had pretty bad reflux until around 7 months old (?). I used to change her bibs out like 10x a day at least and then one day I realized it had been forever since I even put one on her.

I literally never use bibs baby rarely spits up and only drools on her hands so they’re useless anyway haha.
