When can I safely put my baby in a Graco swing?
Graco swings are typically designed for babies from birth to around 9 months or until they can sit up unassisted, whichever comes first. However, it’s essential to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines and weight limits specified for the specific swing model you have.
Before placing your baby in the swing, ensure that:
- Your baby fits within the weight and age limits specified by the manufacturer.
- The swing is assembled correctly according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- The swing is placed on a stable surface and is not at risk of tipping over.
- The swing’s harness or restraint system is used properly to secure your baby safely.
- Regularly inspect the swing for any signs of wear or damage.
Always supervise your baby while they are in the swing, and never leave them unattended. If your baby falls asleep in the swing, consider transferring them to a flat, firm surface like a crib to sleep, as prolonged sleep in a swing can increase the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
You can safely put your baby in a Graco swing from birth, as long as they meet the weight and size limits specified by the manufacturer. Always follow the safety guidelines provided in the swing’s manual.
My two-week-old is having fun . My newborn stays in there just long enough for my toddler to move on to the next activity because I have a toddler. Usually, he spends 10 to 16 minutes in theee.
I’ll allow the infant to take a sleep in the swing under supervision if it’s very close to the toddler and me. This ranges from thirty to an hour.
You can safely put your baby in a Graco swing once they have good head control and can sit up well with support.
Typically, this is around 3 to 4 months of age. Always make sure to use the swing according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and never leave your baby unattended while they are in the swing.
I feel it is safe to do so if the baby is of 9 months and above
