Hi everyone,
I am curious about how much your babies weighed at 3 months old. I am trying to get a sense of the typical range. How much did your little one weigh at this age?
I have only one baby girl and at that age, she was weighing around 6 Kilograms.
She’s around 13.5 lbs which isn’t bad weight in my opinion considering that she was born underweight, like around 6 lbs. We have really struggled. And I had to meet with my pediatrician at least once a week up until last month
As a parent, I can share that babies’ weights at 3 months old can vary widely. Typically, they weigh between 9 and 16 pounds, depending on their birth weight and growth patterns. Each baby is unique, so it’s best to consult with your pediatrician for specific concerns or to understand your baby’s growth in context.
Typically, babies triple their birth weight by their first birthday. For example, if your baby weighed about 7 pounds at birth, they might weigh around 21 pounds by their first birthday. To estimate the weight at 3 months, you can divide that by four, suggesting a weight of approximately 10-12 pounds at that age.
Keep in mind that this is just an estimate. Every baby is unique, and there is a wide range of normal weights. Factors such as genetics, feeding type (breast milk or formula), and overall health can all influence a baby’s weight.
