What books are we reading to babies?

I’m not sure which flair to use, but I was wondering what books we read to babies that are about five or six months old? Up until recently (four months ago), I used flash cards. Now, I’m questioning if that was sufficient. Are there any recommendations out there?

When my John was young, I used to read him the following two books and he absolutely loved them:

  • “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” by Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle - This classic book features repetitive text and colorful illustrations that captivate babies.
  • “Look, Look!” by Peter Linenthal - High-contrast black-and-white images are perfect for young babies’ developing vision.

My recommendations are:

  • “I’ve Loved You Since Forever” by Hoda Kotb - A beautifully illustrated book that shares the love between a parent and child.
  • “If Animals Kissed Goodnight” by Ann Whitford Paul - A sweet bedtime story with charming illustrations.
