If I buy anything for a child that young, I think I’ll get a new stroller, a ball pit to keep at Nannie’s, a Little Einstein drum, a Fisher-Price stacking ring, and a LeapFrog laptop that helps them learn the alphabet. Maybe a new warm winter outfit for cute pictures? I’m trying to follow the “want, wear, need, read” philosophy.
It seems like wrapping paper will be the main attraction this Christmas. Since I am aware that the grandparents have already begun their shopping, I will probably just pick up a few necessities for the baby, wrap it all up in heaps of adorable, crinkly tissue paper, and call it a day. By then, she will be starting solids, so perhaps some supplies for that trip
That sounds super fun!! We just started solids a few weeks ago and she eats pizza crusts and Tim bits, kinda like a yellow lab.
It’s true that last year at Christmas our baby was giddy with wrapping paper.
I will wrap the toys we currently own
That’s so smart! My baby will be 5 months old, and we have tons of toys from the baby shower that she’s still too young for. I might pick up something if it really catches my eye. I’ll probably get some sort of “baby’s first Christmas” keepsake too. But I definitely don’t want to spend money on things we don’t need.
I don’t see the need to buy a ton of stuff because my parents and MIL already give me so many stuff. In addition, my baby will receive extra stuff on his birthday, which is December 28. I’ll simply search the house for presents, and he won’t be aware of it!
Last Christmas, when my daughter was about 11 months old, I bought her a few toys that she could grow into. We chose a toy kitchen and a pushable Radio Flyer tricycle that she can eventually pedal when she’s older. Both have been used extensively.
