My 10-month-old wants to nurse, so he’s lying on my lap with his mouth on the boob, looking up at me while I look at him.
He slowly raises his hand, fingers stretched out, trying to touch my mouth. I pretend to “nom nom” on his finger, and he smiles and laughs, still nursing.
We repeat this for a few minutes. The way his mouth smiles while nursing is just so cute. His giggles sound slightly different this way.
I wish I could hold onto this exact moment forever.
The smile around the boob is truly the most adorable thing. Mine sometimes does it when she’s finished; she’ll smile and let go of the latch slightly as she falls off to sleep, and omg. I melt.
I’m now nursing my 5-month-old child, and it’s the finest thing in the world! His new trick is blowing raspberries when my boob is still in his mouth. Milk everywhere.
