Size 2 diapers weight

Hi Everyone! My child weighs 19 lbs, yet it appears he’s ready to move up to size 4 diapers, even though they’re recommended for babies starting at 22 lbs. Is this normal? He’s having blowouts in size three, and they seem small, with the tabs not meeting in the middle anymore. I tried a size four on him, and it seems to fit well. However, I’m concerned because there’s a three-pound difference from the suggested weight. Does anyone have any advice or similar experiences?

Why is this a concern honestly? Just use what fits and go on with your life.

My little one has the chunkiest legs at 6 months and is already wearing size 6 diapers. My wife always follows her pediatrician’s advice — ‘when you start seeing marks on their legs, it’s time to move up a size!’

I’ve found that it’s best not to strictly follow the recommended weight range for diapers or clothes. Every baby is different, so I go with what fits comfortably for mine. For instance, my 10-week-old Junior is already in size 2 diapers and wearing 6-9 month clothes. Always prioritize what fits your baby best over the suggested sizes!

Don’t let pampers tell you what to do :joy:

That’s exactly my experience too! My niece has been rocking size 4 diapers for a good stretch now, but they considering sizing up soon despite being under the weight limit. I am seeing my bros struggle, It’s so true that different brands fit differently and every kid has their unique needs. one thing I noted in them, they are opting for a slightly larger size to help avoid blowouts and minimizes diaper rash concerns. And oh, those massive thighs are a real thing! :joy::skull:

Such things be eating my bro, I’m even afraid with this parenting thing

Babies come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Some are chunkier in the stomach, chunkier in the thighs, and some are small string beans. So, in my opinion, it depends on the size of the baby.
