She understands that if I place her on my lap exactly right and reach for a towel/bib, it’s BOTTLE TIME. The association has grown so strong that she will cry because she is hungry, even if she has recently eaten. Baby girl came here to sip milk and eat bubble gum, but we were out of gum.
Same thing here; the baby alternates between crying and laughing due to excitement/anticipation.
My guy does this when I put his sleep sacks on when he’s tired. He knows, wow, finally sleep is coming lol
Mine howls in protest at the sack, but his hands betray him by bringing it close and nestling in.
My 16-month-old will weep and say no to the sleep sack while stroking his lovey all over his face.
Omg, mine used to do this as a newborn. Even as a toddler, he will occasionally do it for pouches. I adore it lol.
The feeding position combined with the bib leads to weeping.
My daughter is like this at bedtime: we go through our usual, and once we settle in the chair, she is fiending for the bottle lol. She does this crunch/lunge maneuver to get the bottle in her mouth, which makes me chuckle every time.
I came here to say this! Also, when I start singing “You Are My Sunshine” (my own cheery version), her eyes begin to droop and she looks for that bottle. lol
I want to know the words of your Happy version! My mother always sung this to me, although the lyrics are quite sad.
My version is:
You are my only sunshine. You make me cheerful even when the skies are dreary. You will always know how much I love you, sweetie, because I will tell you every day.
You are my sunshine! My tiny sparkling sunshine! You make me happy all night and day, and I’ll always tell you how much I love you. Please don’t take my sunshine away; I’ve been singing it to her since she was a newborn! I sing the ABCs when she’s almost finished with her bottle, and she generally passes out
My baby gets quite delighted when he hears the whorl of the baby brezza.
My son literally giggles when he sees me lift my shirt
Mine, too! He’ll also grab at my clothing if I take too long!
My 17-month-old son shouts “mi mi mi mi mi” (milk milk milk milk milk) as I prepare his bottle, which my husband and I have done since he was born.
We did it because we were exhausted and foolish all the time. Who could have known he adapted this lol?
