My cousin’s girlfriend just had her baby last night. No gestational diabetes, a few days early, and neither of them is large, but the baby weighed almost 12 lbs! My daughter was only 22 lbs at her 1-year check-up. It was a real “Holy Crap” moment, and now I’m curious about how big other babies around my daughter’s age are. (She was 7 lbs 10 oz at birth.)
At 39 weeks, my daughter weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces. She only weights 23 pounds at two years old; I can’t recall what she weighed at one year. I have a small child.
Edit: Her records looked good to me. At twelve months old, she weighed a mere fifteen pounds and fifteen ounces.
