My LO is ten weeks. He’s been bottle-fed since September and has more than doubled in weight. He also farts throughout the day. In fact, I check his diaper, thinking he’s pooped, but he’s not even moist. He’s not hurting, and he smiles…which is kind of scary. My other three did not do this. They were EBF. But it stinks so horrible that my elder children refer to him as a stinker. The pediatrician isn’t worried. I allegedly gave birth to a skunk, though…
We say, “Good job!” That was a big one." (Applause). We’re competitive farters in my house; I’ve spent too many decades trying to keep them in and experiencing gas cramps, so we toot toot up here. To be honest, her farts aren’t stinky; they’re mine when I forget I’m lactose intolerant, like today hahaha.
Hahaha, thanks for the chuckle! Maybe I should quit holding mine in around my husband… Although they’ve been slipping a lot recently since I’m 22 weeks pregnant.
My son lay in his bassinet for an hour, farting nonstop while sleeping, and I couldn’t fall back asleep because all I could hear was him grunting. Farts every day.
Mine does this too
Absolutely. I need to ask my husband. “was that you or the baby?!”
My kid is EBF, so they aren’t generally stinky, but they are quite loud lol!
Mine is breastfed, and he constantly passes gas, which are horrible farts lol. We giggle every time.
My daughter let out a scream in the NICU that I assumed was from the nurse for a split second. She’s 6 meters tall now, lol.
Farts and poops from formula babies are typically more stinky than those of EBF babies. Breastmilk is easier for the baby to digest and absorb.
Oh absolutely my son has let some rip that have astonished me and I’ve even accused my hubby a few times since that sound did not come from my tiny little baby, but yep it did!
My child was a man-farting newborn and is now a man-farting two-year-old. It truly surprises me how she does it. The best part is she will simply say “toot” in the slightest voice .
That is hilarious. Also, the intense expression on his face while it occurs, sometimes with eye contact. They can go for around 10 seconds.
For me, it’s about making eye contact His eyes grow large and he just stares into my soul .
We just switched formula for our almost 9-month-old. The farts have never been louder or longer. She has been letting them rip in public a lot!
Yes, there are occasional burps as well. Then we all laugh, and I wonder if I’m a bad mom for teaching that this is hilarious
I’m laughing, too. Are we expected to laugh? Aw, guy!
Absolutely. We constantly joking (even though I’m serious about my comments) that she is obviously daddy’s girl because they have the same buttocks
