Hey everyone,
My friends just had their first baby, and I want to get them a thoughtful gift. Any suggestions on what new parents might really appreciate? Looking for something practical but also a bit special.
Thank you so much…

For new parents, consider giving gift cards to places like Amazon, and Walmart, or for food delivery services. Making freezer meals is also appreciated. For the baby, books and a kick-and-play piano are great, along with practical items from their gift registry. They’ll value anything that helps with their new routine.
A gift basket filled with goodies was something I distinctly remember enjoying. It contained bath salts, hair ties, chocolates, new pajamas, socks, caffeinated eye cream, and vitamin C serum.
While mothers are sometimes overlooked during this most vulnerable period of our lives, babies receive an abundance of care. My nipples were broken and bleeding from repeated nursing, I was unable to sit on hard surfaces for weeks, and I was constantly tired, worn down, and cramped after giving birth. My postpartum bleeding lasted almost three months. I felt like a human again because of that gift. Just a notion! You might also include comparable goods for Dad.
When looking for a thoughtful gift for new parents, consider practical yet special items like a high-quality diaper bag, a set of personalized baby blankets, or a subscription box for baby essentials. A meal delivery service or gift cards for baby supplies can also be incredibly helpful. Adding a personal touch, such as a custom-made keepsake or a photo book, can make your gift even more meaningful. These options blend practicality with a special touch, making them ideal for new parents adjusting to life with a newborn.
Get them a nice meal the week or week after they come home from the hospital/ after birthing baby. We mostly had everything we needed when baby came, but I definitely was under prepared with how we were going to eat.
