My little one will soon turn nine months old, and I still take her everywhere in her car seat. To make it easier to get in and out of the car, transfer her into the stroller, and then get back in the car, I prefer to keep her in her car seat. Is it time for me to take her out? She is still using the infant car seat, which fits her perfectly due to her small size. We use the snug ride 35 baby car seat and have the Graco Modes travel system.
It’s totally up to you and what feels most convenient. Many parents start transitioning around 9 months, especially as babies get more active and curious. If she’s still comfortable in the car seat and it works for you, there’s no rush to change things up.
Almost 9 months and we just made the switch this week. Would have done it earlier, but we were holding out for the Target trade-in event so we could get 20% off the convertible one. Baby is 22 lbs, so I dreaded carrying it with him in it every day for the past month.
