I am three months pregnant, and I have had no appetite since my baby was born. I have to force myself to eat, particularly morning. What high-protein breakfast ideas have you tried? This loss of appetite was the primary reason I had to convert to formula, but I also want to be able to get my body healthy again in case I attempt for baby in the future. I just feel so bad. How could I ever become pregnant or deliver a healthy baby again if I’m not even healthy myself? It’s quite frustrating.
When I have 15 minutes to spare, I make two batches of banana oatmeal protein muffins each week, storing 12 in the fridge and 12 in the freezer. I usually consume two for breakfast and one during the day when I want a snack but do not have time. There are numerous recipes available online that can be followed based on your preferences. I like to add dark chocolate chips to make it feel like a treat. Look for a recipe that combines mashed bananas, oats, protein powder, and Greek yogurt to get the most protein per muffin.
This is almost exactly what I do, but with baked oatmeal, It includes Greek yogurt to boost protein and may be completely personalized. It takes a little time to prepare, but I do it once a week and then divide it into portions to microwave in the morning.
If you have time to cook fast, make overnight oats with chia seeds, a smoothie, or toast with eggs.
I eat Chobani or Oikos yogurt drinks. They contain approximately 20 or 23 grams of protein. They were my go-to when pregnant.I still use them as snacks or a quick breakfast. Oatmeal is my other quick supper. If you’re breastfeeding, it also improves supply.
Oh my goodness, the Chobani drinkable yogurts are also my favorites.
