What age did you leave your baby for a weekend

My baby girl is 7 months old and I love her so much, but I’m really looking forward to a two or three night getaway with my husband.

We have two sets of grandparents eager to babysit, so that’s not an issue at all.

How old was your first child when you left them for a few nights? I think I’d feel better about it at around 12 to 18 months

20 months and we still haven’t done it because we don’t have childcare.

Mine is 8 months and I haven’t even spent a night away. I’m just not comfortable with that yet, plus I wouldn’t want our parents babysitting for more than a couple of hours. Probably when she turns 2 I’ll feel ready.

15 months and we haven’t left either. We talked about it, but it’s not really about comfort for me, I just don’t want to burden anyone.

@LillyGrace
Same here. I often get strange looks when I say we haven’t left her yet. I just don’t feel comfortable being away from her overnight, not even with my parents.

Probably won’t be until 12 months since most nutrition will come from food by then and I really don’t want to pump while I’m away. Pumping is tough lol

5 months because we had a wedding to go to. Unfortunately, we were both sick so we didn’t enjoy it much.

4 months. Once he started sleeping through the night, we felt it was okay to ask the grandparents for help.

How did you get yours to sleep through the night :sob: mine wakes up every hour at 4 months

10 months, but I might not until she’s in college lol. I really miss her when she naps longer than usual.

But if you think you’re ready, go for it.

Lol my husband and I miss our son even when he naps and at night when he’s asleep before us :joy:

Glad it’s not just us!

@Micah
Omg I really miss my baby girl too when she sleeps.

6 months. We flew to Florida from Jersey and spent 3 nights away. Highly recommend it!

We’re going to Puerto Vallarta for 3 nights when our baby is 8 months old for my friend’s 40th birthday. Can’t wait!

15 months and we still haven’t been away for more than a few hours. We live far from family and I’m partly worried my mother-in-law might do something we don’t want.

My son is 21 months and we haven’t even been away for an hour, let alone a night :triumph:.

Coincidentally, this weekend we are letting the grandparents babysit for an hour for the first time. Hoping it goes well!

Haven’t done a full weekend because of money, but my first overnight trip had to be around 4 to 5 months

17 months. My sister came to stay for a week and we took one night away.

My little one is 12.5 months. I was supposed to go to a conference last week which would’ve been my first night away from him, but I’m stuck having to stay with my parents for a funeral tomorrow. I have to stay overnight and come back the next day. Both my husband and I have conferences in June on the same days, so either our then 18 month old will have to go to his grandparents for a few days or I don’t go to the conference. Tough choice lol

Was about to get someone to babysit for a night for my partner’s birthday when my baby was 6 months but we canceled last minute and took her to the hotel!
