I’m not sure if I should spend money on owlet socks for surveillance. Are any of you users? He is already almost 7 weeks old and will remain in the crib next to mine for the next 6 months.
I do have a monitor system with a pad that tracks respiration and movement; however, I don’t use it right now because it used to force him to roll over when he was just a week old.

Hi, Whether to wear an Owlet sock, which monitors a baby’s heart rate and oxygen levels, depends on personal preference and the baby’s health needs. Consult with pediatricians to determine if it’s suitable for your child’s monitoring requirements.
We were instructed categorically not to use it by the NICU doctors. That either provides a false sense of security or increases anxiety in parents. I chose not to do it because I didn’t think I would be right, but amazingly, I am!
Although I am aware it’s not a widely held belief, I firmly think that individuals ought to follow their path!
