Newborns have dry, flaky skin. It sheds all over.
Which lotion type should I use to aid it? My spouse has eczema, therefore that might be the cause.

If there’s a family history of eczema, consider lotions formulated for sensitive skin and eczema, such as those from Aveeno or Aquaphor. These products are typically very moisturizing and free from irritants.

Look for a hypoallergenic lotion and apply it after bath time to seal in moisture and avoid dry skin. Avoid chemicals and fragrances whenever possible.

After about 3 months, we started using baby CeraVe. It costs a lot, but I think it’s worth it. For the first 3 months, I didn’t use any products.
