It finally happened!

My approximately 5 month old slept from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. without waking up once! I never thought I’d see this day! I realize this will probably never happen again, but WOW, what a moment!

Do you monitor the office? Kelly’s words “I’m so happy for you” sprang to mind :joy: However, I am thrilled for you and a little (a lot) jealous! I hope you got some decent sleep :two_hearts:

lol! With my bad sleeper, I feel this a lot. At 9 a.m., she has started experiencing 7.5-hour stretches on occasion (after waking up every 1-3 hours for MONTHS). It’s great when it happens! I doubt she’ll ever sleep 12 hours straight!!

7.5 hours seems like a dream! My daughter did a four-hour stretch last night before her first wake up, and I was so proud lol.

We have 8-month-old twins, and Twin B is normally an excellent sleeper, averaging 5-6 hours per night since 4 months old. Twin A wakes awake anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours at most. A slept for 5 hours straight a couple of weeks ago! I suppose the serenity and quiet disturbed his brother, because B was awake every hour that night. People say I’ll sleep again eventually, but I’m not convinced.

They need to get in sync at least :sob:

My 8.5-month-old wakes up every half hour to two hours. And I just hope he starts having longer stretches by 9 a.m.

I’m in the same boat as you. It’s really difficult…It was supposed to get better after 6 months…Still waiting.

Wasn’t that correct? They said it would get better once they started ingesting solids. I’m currently considering mild sleep training.

I’ve heard that rapid motor development causes this at this age, but why hasn’t anyone discussed it before? Yeah, I get why you’d consider light sleep training; if it doesn’t improve soon, I might lose my head.

Oh, I didn’t know about it. Oh, I have already begun to lose my mind. People keep asking why I have black circles around my eyes, and I’m like, I haven’t slept in MONTHS!!!

Same here at eight months! What’s going on at this time?

I believe babies have another sleep regression at the age of eight months. I haven’t even come out of my four-month setback. And just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse, they did.

This is our first real regression, so we’re fortunate. But it’s hard to be lucky right now because we haven’t slept in weeks

My 13-month-old still wakes up numerous times at night. :sob:

On an average night, she wakes up 2-6 times! In the last month, I believe she has slept for more than seven hours four times. I’m hoping it becomes a regular occurrence!!

YAAAAY you are the beacon of hope we sail our newborn ships towards

Queen shit. Tell the secrets!

We just returned from a two-day vacation (our first one ), and I believe she was fatigued from all the excitement. We spent the entire day taking her to the zoo and other places, so when we arrived home, she was like!!! I’m ready to sleep.
