Is an expensive convertible car seat worth the cost or just a marketing tactic?

Hey, I’m searching for a new car seat that can change into different positions for my almost one-year-old son. I’m not sure if there’s a big difference in how good and safe a $200 car seat is compared to a $550 one. I’m looking at two options: the Graco, which costs $200 and is highly rated on Amazon, and the Nuna Rava, which costs $550. I’m confused about why the Nuna is so much more expensive. We really care about safety for our son, but we’ve been tricked into buying expensive stuff before, like a crib and a stroller. So now I’m trying to be more careful with our money.

After two kids and four car seats, we decided on the Evenflo revolve 360. It spins sideways to load/unload your child, and you just spin it forward facing after they grow out of rear facing (about 3 years old depending on their size). The sideways loading is LIFE-CHANGING. It costs around $300 and is well worth the money. It also goes up to 120 pounds, and you may use it as a booster when they are about 8.

If safety and versatility are your priorities, the Nuna Rava is a great choice despite its higher price. It offers premium features like multiple recline positions, advanced safety technology and a longer lifespan compared to many less expensive options. It is essential to consider your budget and what features are most important for your child’s safety and comfort.
