Is a little trembling okay in babies? Infants' legs tremble or tremor momentarily (one leg at a time, not both)

Husband believes that because the baby’s nervous system is still growing, this is most likely a reflex or an unusual movement. He’s barely six weeks old, yet I’ve only just noticed. Not always in a random manner. For instance, one of his legs will do it briefly while he is sleeping.

Completely typical! All of their muscles are growing and developing, that’s all.

Husband mentioned it, but I believe I wanted to hear from other people because I’m anxious after giving birth :white_heart: thank you!

Completely comprehend. My son started twitching when he was around three weeks old, although it started with his foot and eventually spread to his entire body while my dad was holding him. That was the closest I got to a complete breakdown. Other than that, he occasionally twitched, and now that he is a year old, I can’t even recall when it stopped!

Oh my god Like you, I would have scared out! What these tiny humans do is absurd.

When our kid experienced the same problem, our pediatrician informed us that it was very normal for him to do so occasionally because his muscles were still maturing.

We were concerned that it might have been a seizure. Our pediatrician says those have a totally distinct appearance. For our own piece of mind, he informed us that it is not a seizure if the shaking stops when you grasp his leg.

Many thanks for sharing! My suspicions were growing! My aunt mentioned holding the leg in the same way! However, I give in to my postpartum fear and fall down the rabbit hole.
