Hey there,
The Halloween post I saw made me curious - what are you all thinking of dressing up as with your babies, or what have you done before? I need some ideas!
Right now, I’m thinking my husband will dress up as Shrek, I’ll be Lord Farquaad, and our baby will be Puss in Boots. We’ll see if we can make it happen, haha.
Your family’s Shrek-themed Halloween costumes sound like a whimsical adventure waiting to happen! Let’ me take you through some more enchanting ideas for your little one:
Baby Donkey: Imagine your adorable baby with little donkey ears, a soft gray onesie, and perhaps a tiny tail. Bonus points if they can say, “I’m makin’ waffles!”
Fiona (Human or Ogre): If you’re going full Shrek, consider dressing your baby as Princess Fiona. For the human version, a green dress and a tiara would be perfect. For the ogre version, add some green face paint and a warrior spirit!
Dragon Hatchling: Since we’re in the Shrek universe, why not have your baby be a cute little dragon hatchling? A onesie with dragon scales and tiny wings would be adorable.
Gingerbread Man: Remember Gingy? Your little one could be the sweetest gingerbread cookie around. Just avoid any encounters with Lord Farquaad!
Three Blind Mice: A trio of little mice would be both charming and easy to put together. Tiny mouse ears, whiskers, and matching outfits—voilà!
Miniature Fairy Tale Characters: Since you’re already in the fairy tale spirit, consider other classic characters like Little Red Riding Hood, the Big Bad Wolf (a cuddly one, of course), or even a mini knight in shining armor.
Remember, Halloween is all about creativity and fun! Whatever you choose, your baby will steal hearts in their adorable costume. Have a magical Halloween!
Barbara… That sounds like a fun and creative idea for Halloween costumes! Dressing up as characters from “Shrek” is sure to be a hit. Here are a few more ideas for themed family costumes with a baby:
Wizard of Oz: You could dress as Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, or the Cowardly Lion, and your baby could be Toto or even a Munchkin.
Disney Characters: Consider dressing up as characters from a Disney movie like “The Lion King” (Simba, Nala, and Rafiki), “Toy Story” (Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie), or “Frozen” (Elsa, Anna, and Olaf).
Superheroes: Dress as your favorite superheroes like Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, or Spider-Man, and dress your baby as a mini superhero sidekick.
