First-Time Auntie Needs Onesie Advice

Hey everyone, So my little sister is finally due in a few weeks, and I’m beyond excited to be an aunt for the first time. I offered to help out by getting some cute outfits for the newborn, but I’m a total newbie when it comes to baby clothes. I remember my own parents mentioning something about “onesies” all the time when I was a baby, but honestly, I have no idea what to look for. Are they basically just tiny pajamas?

Any tips on what kind of newborn onesies to get (short sleeve? long sleeve? prints?) and how many would be a good starting point? Thanks.

  • Easy fastenings: Look for onesies with zippers or snaps for easy diaper changes. Zippers can be more convenient, especially during nighttime changes.
  • Built-in features: Some onesies come with built-in mittens or footies, which can be very handy.

For the start, you can around 8-10 onesies for convenience.
