During the first several months, which products could you not live without and which sat unused in the corner?

Inspired by a Guardian story (see below), what are your must-have items for new parents, and which products would you avoid? Maybe something you bought but never used.

Clearly outside of the non-negotiables!

My must-have item would be a yoga ball. My daughter falls asleep easily when I bounce her on it. It also works my core really well!

In contrast, we purchased unused swaddling sacks. We simply wrap my daughter firmly in a blanket or muslin. Oh, and a bottle warmer. She genuinely prefers cold milk nowadays.

The “poop chair” or the Baby Bjorn Bouncer

I forgot about the Snuggle Me lounger; it’s now a dog bed.

Our poop chair is Dad. It’s weird how often I pass him over and he immediately fills his drawers.

My baby was so constipated that it took him 10 minutes in the bouncer to work it out. :joy:

We also dubbed our ergo baby bouncer the “poop throne”. What an incredible thing!! Worth every penny!

I second this! I’d like to add: Ergobaby carrier (model depends on your budget), baby Brezza bottle warmer + sterilizer/dryer combination.
