I wasn’t sure what flair to use for this, but I’m looking for some advice on books to read to my infant, who is now around 5-6 months old. Up until now, I’ve been using flash cards (we started at 4 months), but I’m wondering if that’s enough and if I should start introducing books.
Does anyone have any suggestions for good books for this age? I’m looking for something engaging and appropriate for their developmental stage. Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated…
For your 5-6 month old, I recommend choosing books with vibrant colors, simple illustrations and interactive features. Board books are perfect for this age, as they are durable and easy for tiny hands to grasp.
Board books are ideal since they’re sturdy and easy for little hands to hold. Some great options include Black & White by Tana Hoban and Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown.
Our baby’s favorite songs include Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.
